Justine__Carlos_w_Academy_Players_Oct_09This week the 6th Sense Tennis Academy Florida announced their formal partnership with Montverde Academy, a college preparatory independent boarding school for grades PK3 through 12 located 20 miles west of Orlando, beginning with the fall 2010 school semester. The new partnership with Montverde Academy will now provide all full-time boarding players with 6th Sense the best in both tennis training and academic excellence and allow players to pursue their collegiate or professional tennis aspirations and goals.

Located only 15 miles from the 6th Sense Tennis Academy at the Mission Inn Resort & Spa, Montverde Academy offers educational programs designed to balance the academic and athletic demands of advanced student athletes. The Academy has similar successful programs in golf and swimming with students enrolled from all over the world. 

Founded in 1912, Montverde Academy’s campus offers dormitories for both girls and boys that are supervised by house parents along with the dining hall and classrooms conveniently located on the campus.  Additionally, the Academy offers a recently-completed five million dollar athletic complex that includes an eight lane track, fields for soccer, lacrosse and football, baseball and softball fields, golf putting greens and tennis courts where players practice with 6th Sense coaches so they never have to leave the campus.

Montverde Academy is accredited by the Southern Accreditation of Colleges and Schools (SACS), Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC).

At the 6th Sense Tennis Academy, their daily mission is to support, guide and help tennis players to develop to the best of their ability regardless of their age and goals.  Created in 2007 by seven-time Grand Slam Champion and former world #1 Justine Henin and long-time coach Carlos Rodriguez, they wanted to share their love for the game of tennis and pass on their concepts and approach that they have experienced through their long, successful relationship over the years.  Their unique philosophy at the 6th Sense Tennis Academy is unlike any other tennis academy where players learn the importance of cohesion, solidarity, commitment, investment, listening, mutual respect and trust.

The 6th Sense Tennis Academy Florida, which launched in September of 2008 at Mission Inn Resort & Spa, now offers a wide variety of programs for players of all ages and levels.  In addition to the new full-time education and boarding program available through the partnership with Montverde Academy, 6th Sense also has a full-time program at Mission Inn Resort & Spa, short-term programs and adult programs run by Academy Director, Michael Dermience.  The 6th Sense Tennis Academy has additional international locations in Belgium with the most recent location opening earlier this year in China.
